Product Description
The Numark CDX1 is a CD player with an ultra-high torque motorized 12” platter that actually holds a vinyl record for the ultimate vinyl scratch emulation.

Styled after Numark’s flagship TTX1 turntable, the CDX1 features dual "battle-style" controls, forward/reverse toggle, and superior VFD multimode matrix display, full MP3 compatibility, slot-load CD transport, and extensive DSP functionality.

The CDX1 has several modes for scratching and looping, as well as beat-synched digital effects. There is extensive cue store/recall with multiple sets for each CD. The CDX1 has a fast, slot-load CD transport, and music can continue playing from the internal buffer after the CD is ejected. The CDX1 is MP3 compatible, and shows MP3 song titles in its display.

Quite simply, the CDX1 feels as close as it gets to working with a record while using a CD.

Q. Why is important to have a 12” motorized platter with vinyl record and slipmat?
A.
· The 12” size is important because the DJ is used to the feel of this when working with a traditional turntable.
· Having a motorized platter is extremely important because the DJ uses this active motion to work with to scratch and adjust pitch.
· Having a vinyl record is important because the DJ is used to this traditional interface.
· Having a slipmat is extremely important because this completes the correct feeling of working with a record.

Q. Can the user use their own records and slipmats?
A. Yes, the use can also replace the record and slipmat with their own personal preference.

Q. What is the torque and why is this important?
A. Torque is the force of the platter moving. In the CDX it is the current industry maximum of 4.5 Kgf/cm. This is important because, the DJ uses the resistance of this force in order to scratch effectively. Poor torque, such as that found with a belt drive, means the platter will not stand up to the rigors of heavy scratching.

Q. What are the features available to MP3?
A. MP3 features typically with be what is already offered on the CD Audio side of playback. MP3 files should be on a CDR and any text information such as song title will appear in the display

Q. What is smart looping?
A: Smart looping is a feature that lets the user make perfect loops every time by using the beatkeeper to create the loop. The user will press the smart loop button, then press the in and out buttons close to the beat they want to loop on. The beatkeeper aligns and quantizes the loop to be perfect. With the +/- buttons the user can then double or half the loop.

A. The CDX is as rugged and durable as the TTX turntable. We have added all the features you would expect in a high quality turntable to make the user experience almost identical. We have also added all the latest in digital technology that make modern CD players so much fun. The unit has a display that allows the user to see wave data and cue points as they approach. Key Lock allows users to change pitch +/- 100% yet still maintain the current key. Stutter allows the user to jump around the music instantly and still control the music via the vinyl record. Also nur damit ichs richtig versteh...

1) das ist ein CD Player (und mp3, ...)
2) das teil hat einen Plattenteller und einen Plattenspieler antrieb, sodaß sich das ding auch wirklich dreht da oben (net so wie bei den Pioneer)
3) ich kann damit Scratchen, loopen, .... und wenn ich auf den "Plattenteller greif und ihn anhalte, hält auch das lied an.

hab ich das so richtig verstanden???

noch vergessen:

das teil beruht auf den numark ttx 1,
erstmals kann der vinyl dj neben seinen beiden ttx 1 laufwerken
cd-player verwenden und hat dabei das gleiche "gefühl".

wahnsinns-idee finde ich.

hm des ding is gewöhnungsbedingt, aber schaut mächtig aus

Schwerst genial, muss ich schon sagen.
Vor allem der Umstand, dass eine "richtige" Vinyl mit Slip-Mate draufliegt.
Der einzige "Nachteil", wenn man ihn so überhaupt nennen darf, gegenüber Final-Scratch ist der fehlende Tonarm, wo man auch gleich die Nadel an die richtige Stelle setzen kann.
Dafür ist Final-Scratch viel zu kompliziert in Aufbau und Handhabe (Laptop, etc.)

Und das Wave-Display beim Denon hilft ja überdies, die richtige Stelle zu finden.
Nein nein, das ist schon sehr fein, das Teil.
Die Sache mit den MP3s allerdings hätte man sich sparen können

Also ich will net schon wieder alles schlecht machen, is ja wirklich ein tech-freakiges Teil, aber...

Wenn ich 2 Plattler hab und dasselbe feeling haben will wie bei an Plattler dann nehm ich ein final scratch und hab 2 laufwerke mit demselben feeling auf dem ich mp3s spielen kann.

Für mich stellt sich das ding als einzelplatz Final Scratch (alles in einem) dar mit jede Menge Features die wahrscheinlich nie jemand brauchen wird (bin kein Profi Dj, also man korregiere mich wenns net stimmt - aber Frage: wer zum geier braucht speicherbare Cue Points beim auflegen und super loop funktionen??)

Für mich wäre das Teil ultimativ Innovativ und eine überlegung wert, wenn:

wenn das teil seine bedienelemente im vorderen Teil angebracht hätte, und oben noch ein Tonarm dranhängt und ich Vinyl und CD mit Vinylfeeling abspielen kann. Das wär ein Hammer und was wirklich Neues. Aber da ich sicher nicht der einzige bin der sich sowas denkt, bin ich sicher das an so einem Teil schon gebastelt wird.

So ist das halt doch nur ein CD Player mit jede Menge Tech Features - oder?

Die speichebaren Cuepoints sind voll gut. So wie Du bei vielen Vinyls weißt und siehst, ab wo Du die Nummer spielen willst, kannst Du das hier für jeden Titel einspeichern. Bei langen schwebenden Intros, etc., wo man aber erst ab dem Beat spielen will, eine große Erleichterung.
